Outside Sales Representative – Mid-West Region
Holland & Sherry, a well renowned and globally respected luxury textile company within the tailored clothing industry, is looking for a full-time outside sales representative for our Mid-West Region located in Chicago or NYC. With our main office headquartered in the UK our North America office services all of our USA and Canadian wholesale accounts (retailers, specialty men’s and women’s stores, fashion designers, tailors).
We are looking for a hard-worker with a bright, positive attitude that can multi-task, takes initiative, is creative, works well in a team, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and feels that no task is too small. Someone with a knowledge of textiles and an ambition to be part of an exciting sales force that promotes company culture and strength through collaboration. - The outside sales representative will have a given territory of accounts/customers and as the face of the company they will be responsible for selling the product through education, collaborating, and sampling
- Territories include Mid-West to Pacific Northwest
- The primary focus of the outside sales representative is relationship-building, maintaining and cultivating current accounts and finding and nurturing new business
- Expectation of travel at least 2x a month, length of time dependent upon area of travel
- Responsible for client growth through comprehensive product presentations, new collection showings, project specific meetings, and library updates
- Keep clients up to date on all products and input all activity into our CRM system
- Work closely with Customer Service to maintain quick, efficient, and accurate communication with clients on stocked products
- Liaise with UK office on order issues, swatch sampling, and/or shipping issues that arise
- Assist team with following up with customers regarding payments
- When in the showroom, the outside sales representative must work collaboratively with the National Sales Manager and customer service team to streamline day-to-day operations
- Responsibilities include checking daily updates, following up on action items, maintaining efficient email correspondence, client outreach, daily client interaction and sales, and being available for team support
- 2+ years in luxury sales, textiles or clothing sales ideal
- Experience working in a professional environment
- Experience working in wholesale showroom/office helpful
- Bachelor’s Degree desirable but not essential
- Must be ready to take on any project at any given time and execute to the best of your ability
- Knowledgeable of MSOffice (Outlook, Excel, Word) and general computer knowledge
- Salary: $65k to $75k, plus quarterly bonuses
